After three tough years, these best friends seek a home

These felines have been through three foster homes and a bad accident

-

Mason and Snowball need a forever home together. We rescued these boys from the street in the Khalifa City area of Abu Dhabi around two years ago. The two were at risk of being killed on the road, especially after Mason’s brother was killed by a car. The mum is still out there, as she is quite wild. But we still continue to feed her. It’s funny that the kittens were so friendly though, when we rescued them.

Mason and Snowball are not siblings, but are best friends and have been together since they were kittens. Since being rescued, they have been in foster homes together. Their first foster was a long term one. The second one did not end too well.

Snowball fell off the seventh floor balcony while at this foster home and had to have one of his back legs amputated. Mason was in the same home. The owner was not careful and let him out, which is when the accident happened.

When we thought they would finally get adopted and find their loving home, the owner informed us that he had to leave the UAE and return to his home country.

Quite distressed

They then moved in with a friend of mine, who already has many other cats. Mason has been quite distressed because he doesn’t get along with the other cats who live there. Even though the owner is lovely, he doesn’t seem happy because it seems like the other cats are a bit aggressive.

Even though Mason is a big boy, who loves his food, he doesn’t fight and is extremely gentle. He is a very friendly and loving cat.

Mason currently weighs 8.5 kilograms and so he has been put on a diet! He is a Mau and domestic short hair mix. Snowball, on the other hand, is a shy kitty and extremely sweet. He will take a while to relax and get used to new surroundings and people, but once he gets comfortable, he is quite friendly too. He is a Mau and Siamese mix with beautiful blue eyes.

They are both approximately three years old, neutered, microchipped and vaccinated.

They would have to be homed together, as they have never been separated. They are still in this house but they don’t seem happy. They want to be on their own, and not with so many cats as they seem to distress them.
