Jobless man gets violent in police station

A

jobless man, who tried to abscond from a police station after slamming a policeman against the wall, was jailed for six months yesterday.

The 38-year-old Pakistani was apprehended and was being searched by the policeman in a police station when he pushed the policeman towards the wall in February. The policeman fell and injured himself even as the Pakistani tripped and fell while trying to run away.

Police’s forensic examination report confirmed that the policeman sustained a broken finger. (Staff Report)
