Extortionist killed by police in Karachi

An

alleged extortionist has been killed in a raid by AntiViolent Crime Cell (AVCC) in Sarjani town area here. According to media reports, AVCC carried out the raid in Sarjani town following a tip off. Police said the accused Kamran opened fire. In retaliatory firing by law enforcement agencies the accused was killed.

An AVCC official said that Kamran was involved in several cases of kidnapping for ransom and extortion related crimes. The other members of gang fled from the scene, he added.
