Four years after your last
The details
performance in Dubai, what has changed for you?
I think what mostly changed about me is my personal life. I still sing or express songs the way I know how and how I understand them.
You’re a mother of two now. How does it change you as a singer and as a person?
As a singer, it’s great to have more inspirations when singing love songs. Personally, I can see I give more attention to having more to family time. Aside from what other projects are you busy doing now? I’m blessed to be asked to sing for a TV series and be invited to events and TV guestings.
Do you have any upcoming album? According to one of the producers from my record label, we are making one soon.
What are the important lessons you’ve learned being part of the ASAP Sessionistas? Humility singer, how important do you think is a soundtrack in the success of a television series?
I think story is most important. The soundtrack, for me who is also a viewer, makes a scene more relatable than it already is. Filipinos love it when they can relate emotionally.
Do you have particular songs in mind that you want to do, be it in a movie or television soap opera?
A new Ogie Alcasid composition would be a privilege.
Among the movie or television soundtracks you’ve done, what particular song is special for you and why? The recent ones were special because I was pregnant with my two kids. But probably is extra special. It will always remind me of my solo spot during ASAP Sessionistas concert in Araneta last February 2011. I sang it and I just got engaged. I was in tears thinking about it and my husband to be.
