NATIONAL FOOTBALL BODY PARTNERS UNIVERSITY

he President of the UAE Football Associatio­n (UAE FA) has emphasised that graduates with a Master’s degree in Sports Law and Sports Management will be offered careers in the federation or other football and sports clubs in the Emirates.

Speaking during the ‘UAE FA: Between Hope and Reality’ forum at the American University in the Emirates (AUE), Marwan Bin Galita hailed the signing of a MOU (memorandum of understand­ing) between both sides to share expertise critical to football, and sport in general. The AUE has introduced Sports Laws and Management courses as part of it’s curriculum.

“We are lucky to have the supportive leadership of our Rulers, a leadership that supports sports and the drive for sporting excellence,” he said.

“We are extremely fortunate to have state-of-the-art infrastruc­ture for sport which is among the best in the region, if not world.

“We are currently standing on solid ground and we have legislatio­ns supported by great minds, as well as a statute that governs the work of the UAE FA.”

Bin Galita expressed his keenness to review and further develop sports legislatio­ns and regulation­s in the federation so as to bridge all gaps and initiate a revival of renewed interest.

Also present at the innovative forum was Prof. Muthanna G. Abdul Razzaq, President and CEO of the AUE, entreprene­ur Abdullah Ebrahim Al Shamsi, Sports Media Associatio­n Chairman, moderator Adnan Hamad, AUE faculty members and students.
