Dubai to provide free training on drones
200 pre-registered participants can attend Unmanned Aerial System Forum
Drone enthusiasts and commercial drone owners now have the chance to get free training sessions from the world’s best and legally register drones in Dubai.
Dubai Police and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) will host the Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Forum on October 16-17 to educate the industry on the safe and legal use of drones. The training will be free for 200 pre-registered participants, who will gain in-depth understanding of unmanned aerial systems, shaped by perspectives from the local industry and the regulatory insight of international entities.
Enthusiasts will benefit from a drone training session organised by the DCAA and Sanad Academy, and also have the chance to register their drones.
Organised by the International Quality and Productivity Centre (IQPC) Middle East, the two-day forum in Dubai will feature a conference with plenary sessions, round-table discussions, study presentations, innovator sessions, technical theatres and workshops on future applications of drones.
Senior leadership from Dubai Police, DCAA, Dubai Civil Defence, Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA), IATA, Royal Military Academy of Belgium, Imperial College London, Petroleum Institute, as well as from the private sector, will speak at the event.
Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Merri, chief of Dubai Police, said the aim of the forum is to harness the best of what the global industry has to offer in terms of drone expertise, experience and technology.
