Bollywood took a break from films to celebrate Diwali

A number of parties saw the industry’s elite come out in style and celebrate into the night, not forgetting to pout for the token selfies that have become the norm.
While producer-director Karan Johar dolled up his real children, Yash and Roohi Johar, for a meeting with his reel-children Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, it was Aamir Khan’s lavish Diwali bash that drove the trigger-happy paparazzi into a frenzy when the actor hugged it out with Shah Rukh Khan, while Gauri Khan looked on. Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor’s Diwali party was the other hot ticket that saw Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi Sinha in attendance.
The Bachchan family opted to skip the festivities following the death of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father earlier this year.
