2 dead, 6 hurt in two-car crash in Sharjah

Asian men died and six other persons suffered injuries in an accident involving two vehicles on Maliha Road in Sharjah on yesterday morning, police said.

The deceased included an Indian and a Filipino. The injured included five Filipinos and a Pakistani man.

Police said the driver of one of the vehicles lost control, sending the car crashing into the other vehicle, before ramming a concrete barrier.

The victims were aged between 20 and 30. Five of the injured were discharged from Al Dhaid Hospital after treatment. (Staff Report)
