‘2.0’ flies high in Dubai

As part of the music launch of 2.0 in the emirate, Skydive Dubai flew a special banner of the film over The Palm Jumeirah on Thursday. Stars of the film, including South Indian actor Rajinikanth, along with Bollywood’s Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson, flew to Dubai for a special two-day showcase, which culminated in a grand launch event at the Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. Music maestro AR Rahman hosted a concert on Friday evening, with several VIP stars from India in attendance. Directed by Shankar, the sci-fi film is a sequel to 2010’s Enthiran or Robot. —Staff Report
