Air has received its first 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing, one of 30 of the model that the airline will operate as it expands its fleet and service, the airline has said.

Oman Air already operates Boeing 737s, but with the MAX, it will be able to achieve a double-digit percentage improvement in fuel efficiency, it said in a statement yesterday.

The airline ordered 20 MAX airplanes in October 2015, and has since entered into a lease agreement for 10 more of the jets. (Staff Report)
