‘Spamalot’ comedy show coming to town
Dubai Opera’s first comedic show, is coming to town this summer.
From May 2-6, audiences will be able to attend the live spin-off of the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1985).
A Tony Awardwinning production, it’s chock-full of faithfully nutty elements — from odd knights and deadly rabbits to some particularly fierce Frenchmen. The story, written by Eric Idle, follows King Arthur as he seeks out the elusive Holy Grail, falling into unsurprising trouble.
Songs will include Brave Sir Robin, We’re Knights of the Round Table and Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.
“Spamalot is a fantastic, side-splittingly funny night out,” Jasper Hope, Chief Executive at Dubai Opera, commented.
Tickets, on sale now, start from Dh250. There is a 20 per cent early-bird discount (excluding boxes) until February 15 at 5pm.
