Model envisages government work based on innovative plans
The Umm Al Quwain Government Work Model was launched yesterday by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Quwain.
The work model was developed in a record time of 90 days, as a result of the fruitful cooperation between the UAE and Umm Al Quwain governments.
Shaikh Mohammad and Shaikh Saud reviewed the work model that paves the way for a new phase of government work based on innovative plans and programmes, the most important being tourism and investment plans.
Shaikh Mohammad congratulated Umm Al Quwain on this work model that clearly expresses the emirate’s vision for the future. “The work model we launched today complements the UAE government’s approach to intensify and unify our efforts so that we can ensure the well-being of future generations and achieve the quality of life that we aspire to,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
“During my meeting with His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Crown Princes during the annual UAE government meetings, we stressed the importance of local government bodies keeping abreast with the models and mechanisms approved by the federal government that will help serve supreme national goals. What we are witnessing today is the fruit of these meetings and an indicator of the success of national efforts,” said Shaikh Mohammad.
Shaikh Saud hailed the continuous efforts of work teams who worked as a single unit to transform challenges into opportunities and achievements.
“What we are achieving today for the UAE society is the beginning of a new phase of successes, in which we will harness all available capabilities to empower every individual and make them happy,” said Shaikh Saud.
Later, they also launched Umm Al Quwain’s new vision that revolves around a sustainable economy to deliver high quality of life for a cohesive community.
The model also includes the introduction of Umm Al Quwain’s tourism strategy aimed at making the emirate a destination for tourism and investment.
Shaikh Mohammad and Shaikh Saud also inaugurated a Customer Happiness Centre, which is the first unified service centre in Umm Al Quwain, and a Youth Centre. The Customer Happiness Centre will offer more than 160 smart services from 15 local and federal government and private sector bodies.
