50km/ h wind expected to hit residents tomorrow

Residents told to take precaution­s as hot, dusty and partly cloudy weekend forecast

The UAE’s weather will be unstable over the next two days, resulting in partly cloudy skies, haze and a rise in temperatur­e.

Light to moderate southeaste­rly to northweste­rly winds with speeds of 15km/ h to 30km/ h, reaching 40km/ h, will affect the country today. Thewindswi­ll kick up dust in exposed areas.

Stronger winds will blow tomorrow with gusts of 50km/ h. Residents with respirator­y conditions should take precaution as it will be dusty in exposed areas.

The mercury is also expected to rise significan­tly in some places. In Dubai, theminimum temperatur­e is expected to rise by 5 degree Celsius. Today’s temperatur­e will range from 22C to 35C, and it will be from 27C to 36C tomorrow. A rise of up to 3C is expected with a maximumtem­perature of 37C in Sharjah tomorrow.
