In the original finale, which aired in2006, Will ( EricMcCormack) and Grace ( Debra Messing) drift apart and raise children separately with their respective partners. The episode includes a huge time- jump, in which the two reunite 20years later as theymove theirnow- grown kids into dormroomsacross the hall fromeach other. The revival quickly tossed the idea outby using the oldest trick in the book.
