Al Assad will be held to account for chemical attacks — Western powers

-

The United States and its European allies vowed yesterday that Syrian President Bashar Al Assad will be held to account for chemical attacks on his people. It was the one year anniversary of a chemical attack on Khan Shaikhoun in Idlib that killed at least 80 people. The foreign ministers of Britain, France, Germany and the US also sternly criticised Russia for failing to strip its ally of his deadly chemical arsenal. “We condemn the use of chemical weapons by anyone, anywhere and are committed to ensuring that all those responsible are held to account. We will not rest in our efforts to seek justice for the victims of these abhorrent attacks in Syria.”
