Air France halts 30% of flights due to strikes
Air France said yesterday hundreds of its flights have been cancelled as pilots, cabin crew and ground staff pursued a fifth day of strikes aimed at securing higher pay.
The walkout has affected international and domestic travel, with a quarter of long-haul flights cancelled.
About a third of medium-haul flights to and from Paris’s Charles de Gaulle airport have not taken off.
Thirty per cent of shorthaul flights were cancelled at Paris’s Orly airport and French regions.
