Abu Dhabi Crown Prince congratulates Egypt president on his re-election
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, in talks with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi in Cairo yesterday.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, yesterday held talks with Egyptian President Abdul Fattah Al Sissi over cooperation and ways to take forward bilateral ties in the best interests of both nations.
The two leaders discussed cooperation in various political, development, economic and investment spheres, and ways to further develop their relations in line with the ambitions of the leaders and peoples of both countries.
Shaikh Mohammad congratulated Al Sissi on his reelection for a second term in office after winning the presidential election, and wished him further success in his tremendous efforts to carry on with the drive of development and fulfil the aspirations of the Egyptian people for prosperity and welfare.
The talks touched on the latest developments in the region and exchanged views about a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
Cooperation
Shaikh Mohammad said: “The UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to cement its relations with Egypt and push them to higher levels of cooperation and coordination as well as to unify their visions towards various regional and international issues.”
He reaffirmed that Egypt would remain the cornerstone of the Arab security system.
