Moroccan celebrity dies in Abu Dhabi

Fans across Arab world mourn 34-year-old Wiam Al Dahmani who died of cardiac arrest

Thousands of people across the Arab world are mourning Moroccan artist and singer Wiam Ammar Al Dahmani, who died of cardiac arrest in Abu Dhabi on Sunday night. She was 34.

The news of her sudden death came as a shock to her fans and many celebritie­s in the Arab world.

Al Dahmani, who was also a renowned TV presenter of Arabic talk shows, made her Lollywood debut with Ishq Khuda, which was released in 2013 and had acted in a few other Pakistani films as well such as Hotal and Hijrat.

She lived in Dubai and was known for being able to speak and sing in Hindi. She hosted many TV programmes related to Bollywood movies and worked as a talk-show presenter, on Zee Aflam, an India-based satellite television channel based in Dubai.

Al Dahmani had also released an Arabic music video, titled Ahlan Wa Sahlan (Welcome), which was shot in Chennai in south India.

Reports say she was also preparing to present a show this Ramadan.

Many people from the world of music and arts published Al Dahmani’s pictures on their own social media accounts grieving her death.
