Rockfish

Rockfish at Jumeirah Al Naseem has just launched a revamped menu with delicious new additions. Special plates on the menu include a scallop carpaccio with avruga caviar and sour cream, my favourite dish which was a king crab salad with avocado puree topped with chives and espelette peppers, and delicious king crab legs, flavoured with lime, chives, crunchy fennel and maltaise sauce.

Some new main dish items include their signature Rockfish dish, made with crunchy vegetables and a flavourful gribiche sauce.

A must try dessert is the citrus cheesecake, made with cheese foam, lemon meringue and crispy tuile. The best part about Rockfish, apart from the delectable food, is the venue’s location right at the waterfront. Seafood dinner with a sea breeze. Perfect way to spend the evening.

Location: Jumeirah Al Naseem Timings: Daily from 8am to 11am, 12pm to 3.30pm and 6.30pm to 11.30pm

Catch22

JBR’s social eatery has just announced the latest additions to its menu. The new dishes include a bowl of creamy butternut squash soup topped with soft crab meat to start, as well as a fully loaded chicken burger made with seasoned chargrilled chicken topped with melted cheese, creamy slaw, crispy fried pommes frites and Catch22’s secret sauce, all accompanied with an essential portion of wedge fries.

Other special dishes on the menu include jumbo grilled asparagus with creamy hollandaise, crisp veal bacon, fillet mignon with a truffle sauce, and sweet chili shrimp topped with tangy lemon oil and toasted coconut. End the meal on a sweet note with their Red Lava Lova. Location: JBR the Beach

Scoopi

Scoopi cafe introduces a selection of new flavours just in time for the hotter months. Their latest additions include charcoal ice cream with edible gold shimmer, red velvet ice-cream in a black cone and a salted caramel ice-cream with chocolate chunks. If you aren’t a big ice cream fan, there are bubbly soda float options for you as well. Flavours include watermelon and orange and topped with vanilla ice-cream. Perfect for the warm weather!

Bord Eau

French cuisine is based largely on seasonal foods, and since it’s spring time, it’s time for a change to the menu. This one kicks off with new options of sharing starters like fresh gulf tuna tartar with kumquat and zucchini puree, Atlantic octopus salad with pickled onions and grilled capsicum, and Obsiblue prawn marinated in candied lime. For the daring diner, there is the traditional treat of French snails in a crispy puff pastry.

Location: Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi

Timings: Sunday to Friday from 6.30pm to 11.30pm, closed on Saturday
