KCR seeks bigger role with Federal Front

Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K Chandrasek­har Rao said that having provided an exemplary government in the state over the last four years his party was now all set to play a pivotal role in national politics and replicate the “amazing developmen­t” of the state at the national level.

He said this at the party plenary on Friday, at Kompally near Hyderabad, The theme of the plenary is “A smile on every face, welfare of every home”.

Addressing 13,000 odd delegates from the 119 assembly constituen­cies of the state, KCR said he would continue to work hard to make Telangana a model for the entire country. “We have provided an honest and value-based government in the state,” he said.

Earlier, KCR unfurled the party flag and garlanded the statue of “Telugu Talli”, the symbol of Telangana state.

The proposed Federal Front, which KCR envisages by bringing together the non-Congress and nonBJP parties, was a recurring theme at the plenary.
