Lulu Group has opened a new shopping center Hameem outside the city of Abu Dhabi.

The new shopping center, Emirates General Market in Al Dhafra Mall, was officially inaugurated by Khadem Sawayah Al Muhairi, chief operating officer of ZonesCorp, in the presence of Abdul Rahman Abdullah, general manager and head of strategy and community banking at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank.

Also present on the occasion were Saifee Ruapawala, chief executive of Lulu, and other top officials from the company.

The shopping centre, which is 145th of the group, is located opposite to Al Salam Workers Residential City and can be easily accessed by residents of Hameem and its surrounding areas.

Speaking after the inauguration, Yousuf Ali M.A., chairman of Lulu Group said: “It has been always our policy to bring unique shopping experience closer to the residents of suburban areas and outskirts of main cities, rather than making them drive long distances.”

“With the opening of this new market, the workers and other residents staying here will have huge options of quality products at attractive and competitive prices. He added that “this new shopping centre will further strengthen our presence and help us to give more value to our shoppers in all parts of Abu Dhabi.”
