Alucky Indian man got the best possible news yesterday morning that he has won Dh10 million in the monthly Big Ticket draw.

Dickson Kattithara Abraham, who lives in Nigeria, purchased his winning ticket No. 012027 while in transit at Abu Dhabi International Airport last month. Remarkably, it was the first time he took part in the Big Ticket raffle.

“This is a blessing for me, I was simply passing through Abu Dhabi on the way to Nigeria and I decided to buy one ticket and it turned out to be the winning one, I’m very lucky,” said Abraham, who works as an export manager.

“I never really expected to win when I purchased the ticket, I just said let’s see what will happen, and in the end something very good happened and I’m so happy,” he added.

Abraham said he had a feeling that he was a winner when he saw his phone ringing in the morning from a UAE number.

“It was early in the morning when my phone started ringing, I saw the call was coming from the UAE and I knew that today was the day they were announcing the Big Ticket winner. I was sure this wasn’t a hoax or a joke, like so many others I was waiting to see the results this morning.”

Abraham’s wife and two children live in Kerala, India. “I have many ideas about what I’d like to do with this money, I will definitely use a part of it for my family.”
