Patients die as doctors strike

At

least 14 patients died in the last 36 hours in the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science (RIMS) in Jharkhand as nurses and junior doctors continued a strike protesting against an assault on one of their colleagues. Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das yesterday took cognisance of crisis and asked the state health minister to hold talks with the nurses and junior doctors. (IANS)
