Something’s wrong

There’s so much wrong with this article about baby formula from camel milk (“Soon, baby formula from camel’s milk”, Gulf News, May 28).

Gulf News reports utter quackery about camel milk curing autism... and so on.

From Mr Austyn Allison Dubai

Shocking That claim about autism is shocking....

IFrom Mr Alex Malouf Abu Dhabi

There have been testimonies and circumstantial evidence reported by parents of some autistic children in Dubai. Some claimed that camel’s milk did help alleviate symptoms of autism in their children, who were diagnosed with the condition. Other parents said it was not just camel milk, but the therapy that includes camel milk. We reported this in 2014.

The US National Institute of Health also published this report, Patient Report: Autism Spectrum Disorder Treated With Camel Milk.

Gulf News does not report ‘quackery’ because that would imply made up information. Transparency and ethical journalism is at the heart of our work. We publish facts. Gulf News
