Rs6b to boost education in Gilgit-Baltistan

Minister for Education Mohammad Ebrahim Sanai, yesterday said more than Rs6 billion (Dh900 million) would be spent on promotion of quality and higher education and enhancing literacy in the region during the next fiscal year.

He said the region’s budget caters for conservation, tourism, culture, sports development, good health, clean drinking water and will also help to complete schemes in transports, communication and hydro power sectors. (APP)
