Al Waleed posts his daughter’s driving video
Saudi billionaire Prince Al Waleed Bin Talal posted on his Twitter account a video showing his daughter, Reem, at the wheel of her car, driving him down a road in Riyadh, minutes after the lifting of ban on Saudi women driving took effect.
The video showed the Saudi businessman, alongside his daughter and grandchildren, commending the wise leadership of Saudi Arabia for empowering women by granting them the right to drive for the first time. “No doubt this is a great achievement, Reem,” said Al Waleed addressing his daughter.
“I am thankful to King Salman, and no doubt the ideas of my brother Mohammad Bin Salman have led to this great result. “Now women have been granted their liberty, thank God.” Then Al Waleed leaned to his grandchildren and asked them to give a round of applause to their mom for good driving.
“Now Saudi Arabia has entered the twenty-first century … Mabrouk (congratulations),” he said, concluding the video.
