NAMA and UN plan 25,000 jobs for women
UN Women and the UAEbased non-profit NAMA Women Advancement Establishment (NAMA) signed a memorandum of understanding in New York recently to formalise their efforts to stimulate demand for women entrepreneurs in the region. In a statement, the pair said that they aimed to create opportunities for women in South Africa, the UAE and the region, with support from UN Women headquarters. The programme targeting 25,000 women is to be implemented in a period of three years.
