NAMA and UN plan 25,000 jobs for women

UN Women and the UAEbased non-profit NAMA Women Advancemen­t Establishm­ent (NAMA) signed a memorandum of understand­ing in New York recently to formalise their efforts to stimulate demand for women entreprene­urs in the region. In a statement, the pair said that they aimed to create opportunit­ies for women in South Africa, the UAE and the region, with support from UN Women headquarte­rs. The programme targeting 25,000 women is to be implemente­d in a period of three years.
