Rape suspect sent for mental evaluation

Aman accused of luring a jobseeker to his residence and attempting to rape her, but with a biological problem frustrating him in his attempt, will be admitted to hospital for psychological evaluation.
The 46-year-old suspect pleaded not guilty to the rape attempt charge before the Dubai Court of First Instance.
The woman reportedly claimed that she met in January with the suspect, who claimed to run a tourism company, and sought to hire her for his firm.
“The suspect will be admitted to hospital for 15 days for a psychological assessment,” said presiding judge Shaikha Hamad in courtroom three yesterday.
The Filipina testified about her ordeal to prosecutors. “He told me that I will start work the next day … then he drove me to Downtown Dubai and pointed towards Burj Khalifa, that I will work there. He took me to his villa saying that we would be waiting for other co-workers, to drive us later to the company accommodation. Then he attempted to have sex with me but he failed to fulfil his desires. He threatened and beat me.”
