Four sick after eating chicken served on train

Four passengers onboard the Puri-Sealdah Duronto Express fell ill after eating “undercooked” chicken, officials say. Authorities have decided to cancel the vendor’s licence.

“Around four passengers were served undercooked chicken onboard the PuriSealdah Duronto Express on Saturday night. The passengers complained of uneasiness while a teenager fell ill after eating food,” Debasish Chandra, general manager of the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation, said.

“We have decided to cancel the licence of vendor Krishna Enterprise and also impose a hefty fine,” he said. (IANS)
