Adora finds destiny in new ‘She-Ra’ trailer

-

The time has come for Adora to learn her destiny.

The first teaser trailer for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was released on Monday, and it shows the long-lost princess discovering the magical sword that transforms her into She-Ra. Or, as the mysterious voiceover puts it, it’s time for balance to be restored to the world, and Adora has a major part to play.

Much like her backstory in the classic 80s cartoon, in this reboot Adora does not know her true heritage because she is an orphan who was raised by the evil Horde. She leaves that life behind when she finds her magic sword, then has to navigate a new life as a hero, befriending other magical princesses as they fight against evil as part of the Rebellion.

The show’s voice cast includes Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor) as Adora aka. She-Ra, Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad) as Glimmer, AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs) as Catra, Marcus Scribner (black-ish )as Bow, Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains) as Angella, Lorraine Toussaint (Orange Is the New Black) as Shadow Weaver and Keston John (The Good Place) as Hordak.

The series is set to debut on November 16 on Netflix.
