Dubai-Shahama road to be partially closed till Sunday

Roundabout between Yas Gateway and Al Reef community will not be operational

The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi yesterday announced the partial closure of the DubaiShahama highway from today till Sunday.

The road will be closed from midnight today to 5am on Sunday. The road will be closed at the roundabout between Yas Gateway and Al Reef community between Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Street (E10) and Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Road (E12).

Two lanes will be closed from the right side.

The department warned motorists to take precautions and follow road signs and traffic rules.

Dubai-Sharjah link

Meanwhile, motorists driving from Dubai to Sharjah will have to take a detour today if they plan to use Al Ittihad Road.

Sharjah Police announced that the link from Dubai to Sharjah on Al Ittihad Road will be temporarily closed from 4 to 9am for maintenance work.

Motorists will not be able to use the Al Nahda exit opposite Al Ansar Mall, and will have to take an alternative route.

Al Dhaid interchange

During the long weekend, Sharjah Police announced that the fifth interchange on Al Dhaid will be closed till 6pm on Saturday.
