Women still don’t have the rights they deserve

-

People still do not understand equality, even those who talk big can end up playing victim or have anti-feminist views. When it comes to walking the talk, people back out so the actual issues aren’t being addressed even today. For example, many people like to light up candles and stage protests at Indian monuments, mimicking what they see in films. However, India is still unsafe for women and you keep hearing cases that are worse than what you heard the last time. Where is the safety? We talk and we forget.

On the other hand, you cannot expect feminism to be adopted in remote corners of the world where people might have traditions that are very patriarchal.

There are problems that women have been facing since time immemorial and you can only create change when you change the mindset. Women still don’t have the place they should have in many societies. We have to change the mindset and it needs a lot of effort.
