Abu Dhabi Police launch campaign against drugs
Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with its partners, has launched “My life is more expensive” campaign with the aim of raising the community’s awareness about the dangers and damage caused by drugs
For a month, starting tomorrow and ending on October 16, the campaign focuses on different segments of society, especially young people, families and parents and will include visits to community councils, schools, private institutions and clubs of Arab and foreign communities.
The campaign will also include lectures and youth workshops, through which coordinated and targeted efforts are to be made to combat this plague and raise warnings against its devastating effects. It will be conducted in three languages — Arabic, English and Urdu.
The campaign also focuses on different media to raise people’s awareness, by publishing news stories, sending SMS and airing TV and radio programmes, distributing publications and educational pamphlets in stadiums and exhibitions, commercial centres and residential areas, and making public announcements via cinema screens, ATMs, customer service centres and media platforms.
