Supreme Court orders review of huge salaries

Supreme Court yesterday ordered the National Accountability Bureau’s director-general for Lahore, Saleem Shahzad, to review a list of officers in public sector companies with salaries of more than Rs300,000 (Dh8,849) per month.

The bench comprising Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar and Justice Ijaz-ul-Ahsan issued the order while hearing a suo motu notice regarding the huge salary structure of workers of the public sector companies in Punjab province. (APP)
