Eligibility criteria

The law approved yesterday provides for special residency-visa privileges for expat retirees above the age of 55 for five years, which will be automatically renewed for those who meet certain criteria.

The following are the criteria: The expat should have an investment in a property worth Dh2 million or have savings of no less than Dh1 million or have an active income of not less than Dh20,000 per month.
