Palm Tree Day celebrated in Sharjah

the central role date palms play in Arabian culture, the Environment and Protected Areas Authority (EPAA) in Sharjah celebrated Palm Tree Day on Sunday

It was held at the Islamic Botanical Garden on Al Dhaid Road, under the theme ‘Makers of Green Miracles in the Desert.’ “Given palm trees’ significance to our lives, EPAA is keen to celebrate Palm Tree Day,” said Hana Saif Al Suwaidi, EPAA Chairperson. “Dates have played important roles in the lives of the UAE’s people.” (Staff Report)
