Authority ready to implement decision

Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, acting director-general of Foreigners Affairs and Ports at the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenshi­p, said the decision to grant long-term visas to expatriate retirees will be implemente­d with the highest standards of efficiency and profession­alism. Under the decision, expat retirees over the age of 55 will get five-year visas. To qualify, they should have invested in a property worth Dh2 million, or have savings of no less than Dh1 million, or have an active income of no less than Dh20,000 per month.
