Modi urges Afghan-led peace process

yesterday reiterated its commitment and support to the Afghanistan government’s efforts towards an Afghan-led peace and reconciliation process.

During his visit to India, Afghan President Ashraf Gani briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on initiatives by his government towards peace and reconciliation. Modi expressed India’s “unwavering commitment” to support efforts of the Afghan government to continue as a peaceful and democratic nation and emerge as an economically vibrant country. (IANS)
