Strict action urged against fake medicines

Residents of the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad yesterday urged the authorities concerned to take strict action against the sale of substandard and spurious drugs by the medical stores.

Many pharmacies are employing, as sales managers, people who do not have even basic knowledge about medicines, residents said.

Saqib Kamran, a resident said the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan has an important role to play in this regard to ensure all laws are adhered to by suppliers of medicines. (APP)
