Chief justice takes notice of tunnel closure

Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar took notice of the closure of Lowari Tunnel and sought a report from the Communication Secretary, Chief Secretary, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Chairman of National Highways Authority within five days.

The notice was taken on an application of the residents of Chitral that the tunnel has been completed, but was kept closed most of the time and opened for only a few hours.

This not only causes traffic jams but also creates troubles for locals, said a press release received here. (APP)
