Work on Lawai power station in full swing

Work on the construction of Lawai hydel power station in KPK (Chitral) is in full swing.

In an interview with Radio Pakistan, spokesman of the Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organisation said that the power station will be completed at a cost of Rs22 billion by 2022.

He added that on completion, the power station will generate 69 megawatts electricity.

Chitral has the potential to produce 2900 megawatts electricity from hydel resources, the spokesman said. (APP)
