Ex-senator booked for defaming SC

Former Senator Faisal Raza Abidi has been booked by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the capital police for “defaming the Supreme Court and judges”.

The case has been registered against Abidi and his three companions with the Secretariat Police. He has been accused of insulting, threatening and passing derogatory remarks against judges of the SC.

SC Public Relations Officer Shahid Hussain told the Secretariat Police that Abidi and his aides had used foul language against judges besides threatening them. (Online)
