Two workers injured in crane accident

Two

workers were injured after a crane cable snapped, sending them hurtling down from the sixth floor of a building under construction in Sharjah yesterday.

The incident happened when the workers were fixing aluminium cladding. The two Indians were taken to Al Kuwaiti Hospital, where one of them was admitted to the ICU.

One worker, 41, fell in the building’s parking lot, while the second, 24, fell on top of him. The construction company staff were summoned by the police for questioning. (Staff Report)
