Age is not correlated to what one achieves
Usually, when we are young we don’t follow our passion. We tend to follow what our parents say and it is only when we grow older that we become wiser and understand that we have to follow our passion. So, when you see a very young person achieve distinction in a field, that is rare, people consider it as a great success. It is not because the child or young person knew of a secret to success that we didn’t know - 99 per cent of the people know what it takes to become successful, it’s just a few who make it happen. Also, success is a very general term — you cannot call someone a success or a failure. You can achieve distinction in a field and that is admirable — whether you are a child or a teenager who shows distinction in certain areas or a very old person. I don’t think age is correlated to success because if you achieve distinction in a certain field there are two possibilities – you are either gifted or very hard working. As for luck, I don’t believe in it. We create our own reality.
