Gulf News wrongly reported or published the following:

■ The word as ‘complaint’ instead of ‘compliance’ in the sentence: “‘The ship’s MLC complaint certificate and all the firefighting appliances have expired,’ a senior crew member said.” It was part of the page 4 report, “8 sailors stranded on ship without wages”, Nation section, September 25. We apologise for the error and any inconvenience it might have caused.
