Police fire at motorcyclists for not stopping

A police officer fired his gun at two motorcyclists, for not stopping at a police squad signal at Katarian Bridge on IJP Road, for checking.

According to a police spokesperson, the squad was spot checking at Katarian Bridge on IJP Road when two men on a motorcycle were signalled to stop twice, but they ignored the police signal. The officer fired at the leg of the rider, thinking he was going to run over them.

The injured man was taken to hospital by the police.
