Abu Dhabi Auction House Estuary Auctions is holding a sale of antique rugs, carpets and textiles, comprising 60 rare antique carpets, rugs and textiles sourced from around the region and internationally. Stand-out lots under the hammer include an early 19th century antique Qajar textile embroidered with silver thread, with a guide price of Dh28,000 - 36,000. Another find is an early 19th century antique Ottoman carpet with a guide price of Dh32,000 - 40,000. The auction starts at 7pm at Estuary Auction, Addax Tower, Al Reem Island and will be live-streamed via their website. Bidders need to pre-register via the website before the auction. UAE residents have the chance to play a key role in delivering one of the World’s top club tournaments. More than 1,000 volunteers are required to take on a variety of roles in the build-up, and during, the tournament which takes place from December 12-22, in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. Applicants must be over the age of 16. Volunteers who register will be assigned a role in one of six areas: accreditation, competition, marketing, media, protocol and venue management.
