Hospital fire forces evacuation of patients in Kolkata

Rescuers evacuate patients from the state-run Calcutta Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata yesterday after a fire broke out in a pharmacy within the hospital complex. Nearly 250 patients were evacuated with a doctor at the hospital saying no injuries had been reported so far. Ten fire engines were involved in the fight to bring the fire under control, but smoke continued to billow from the building that housed the pharmacy.
