Asia Pacific nations set for Games
The organising committee for Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019 has confirmed that all nations in the Asia Pacific region will take part in the Games from March 14-21 next year.
Special Olympics programmes have been established in Nauru, Palau, Solomon Islands, Marshall Islands, Vanuatu, and Micronesia that will see their athletes to compete alongside 7,500 athletes from around the world. The new nations will form part of the largest ever delegation to participate for the Asia Pacific region in a World Games. (Staff Report)
