HOW ARE BACTERIAL INFECTIONS DIAGNOSED?

-

“We ask patients about their condition. There is a set of criteria used to identify the likelihood of a bacterial infection. These include white spots on the throat and fever, no cough, and painful swelling in the neck nodes. A throat swab test is also used to identify the bacteria.”

Dr Mohammad Alazzawi, head of the emergency department at Mediclinic Welcare Hospital in Dubai.
